Fuel card
How does the Alambas fuel card work?+
Each vehicle gets its own postpaid fuel card usable at any fuel station in Nigeria. There is no need to pre-credit the account: we fund the card, your drivers buy within the approvals and limits you set, and you pay only for fuel actually used at the end of the month.
What does the fuel card cost?+
The first two cards are free, then NGN 5,000 per card from the third. There are no maintenance fees or hidden charges, and the full Alambas fleet software is included free with every card.
How do we fund the cards?+
Either we load an agreed amount monthly, or we load only the exact amount of fuel a driver wants to buy at the moment, released once approved by the person in charge.
What happens if a card is lost or a driver is suspended?+
Freeze the card instantly from your dashboard. Because no cash float sits with drivers, no funds are lost.
Product
What is Alambas?+
Alambas is a digital fleet operations platform built for NGOs, humanitarian organisations and mission-driven fleets. It replaces the paper vehicle logbook with a mobile-first workflow for trips, checklists, fuel, servicing, documents and reporting.
Which devices do drivers use?+
Any modern Android or iOS smartphone. Drivers open Alambas in a browser or install it as a home-screen app; there is no store install required.
Can drivers edit completed trips?+
No. Once a trip is closed it is locked. Corrections require an approved change by a fleet manager and are recorded in the audit trail.
How are service reminders calculated?+
Alambas tracks both odometer thresholds and calendar intervals per vehicle. Alerts are sent to the assigned fleet manager at 30, 14, 7 and 1 day before due.
Operations
Can it work offline?+
Yes. Drivers complete checklists, log trips and capture fuel entries offline; records sync automatically the moment connectivity returns.
Can multiple offices use Alambas?+
Alambas is multi-country and multi-office by design. Records are scoped to the correct office, project and country for clean reporting.
Can vehicles be reassigned to another driver?+
Yes. Reassignments are tracked as transfers, preserving the vehicle's complete history and driver-of-record for every past trip.
How does the SOS feature work?+
A driver taps SOS in the app; Alambas captures location and time and immediately alerts fleet managers and supervisors, both in-app and via notifications.
Reporting & data
Can reports be exported?+
Yes. Weekly, monthly and lifetime reports export to Excel and PDF and are ready for donors, auditors and board packs.
Can organisations manage fleets across multiple states?+
Yes. Fleet managers get a single dashboard covering every state, office and project you operate in.
Is my data secure?+
Data is encrypted in transit, stored with role-based access controls, and scoped strictly to your organisation. See our Privacy Policy for details.
Do I own my organisation's data?+
Yes. Your organisation's data belongs to your organisation. You can request a full export at any time.
